In a developing Country like India witnessing a revolutionary up-gradation in literacy demand of skilled technician is also bound to grow. It is important on the part of vocational training institutions to grow with the same phase for the betterment of the industry society as well as overall industrial growth of the nation. Vocational training is an important subject under constitution. The central as well as the state government share the responsibility of implementing vocational training in the country. At the national level the Directorate General of Employment and training (DGE&T) Ministry of labour and employment (MoLE) is the Nodal body. This formulates policies norms and standards for training system It conducts All India Trade Tests (AITT) and issue certificates of vocational training under the guidelines of an advisory body called National council of vocational training (NCVT). Entrepreneurs face a great number of challenges to build a successful venture. The government Industrial Training Institute (Women) Coimbatore - 641 029 have been inspired by a dream and vision to be a high class vocational training institution in the state of Tamilnadu. Our mission is to provide good vocational training to women for Impart need based training to cater industrial needs and to Strive for continual improvement. On the backdrop of robust expansion in the existing training capacitynew trades are introduce. This Institution is up graded as a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE by the Government. A training grant of Rupees Three and half crore is sanctioned to this Institution for Introduction of new trades and to modernize the existing trades. The above fund is utilized as per the proposed Institutional Development Plan (IDP).
